Abby Eberly
I’m originally from Grand Rapids, Ohio. I’m currently a junior at Ohio University pursuing a degree in exercise physiology on a Pre-Physical Therapy track with a psychology minor. After graduation, I hope to continue my studies and earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
I'm especially interested in outpatient and home health PT. I want to be a PT because I have gone through intensive therapy myself. In 2020, I tore my left ACL playing basketball and went through 9 months of outpatient therapy. I quickly learned that this profession is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to help people and make them feel as comfortable as possible through the healing process, just like my therapists did for me. I believe that “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”. I am excited to work with Dr. Swain and gain experiences that I will carry into my career one day.
Some of my hobbies include spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, shopping, listening to music, and playing with my dog Harley!
