Physical therapy can do more than treat injuries and diseases after they happen. Instead of treating a disease or disorder, why not prevent it? There are many conditions with modifiable risk factors. A little education and planning goes a long way.

Pre-habilitation

Instead of rehabilitating an injury, we prefer to help prevent it. Did you know therapists can help minimize your risk of:

  1. Sports injuries - Many athletic injuries from both overuse and traumatic causes are preventable.

  2. Work injuries - Sadly, one in four Americans will experience a period of long term disability during their working years.

  3. Whiplash injuries - poor core stability in your neck and back can predispose you to injuries if you're in a car accident

  4. Falls - Americans spend billions of dollars every year on injuries related to falls. Preventing the fall can save you time, money, and from physical injury.

  5. Child development delays - Learn what to expect and help your little ones grow and develop their age appropriate motor skills.

  6. Pelvic Wellness - Prepare for a healthy pregnancy, or get answers to questions about pelvic personal care or sexual function.

Personal Training

We offer one on one personal training services by a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) to help you meet your goals. Personal trainers are not required to be certified by law, but we believe in offering the best. Your trainer will be certified by a reputable organization like the American College of Sports Medicine.

This may be right for you if:

  • You are looking to exercise but don't know where to start and want some accountability.

  • You have tried losing weight in the past and need some help to take it off and keep it off.

  • You are an athlete looking to improve your performance.

  • You finished with physical therapy, but appreciate having an exercise program tailored to help meet your goals

*Personal training and physical therapy are not the same. If you are looking to rehabilitate an injury, our staff reserve the right to require a physical therapy evaluation if necessary for safety reasons.

Weight Management

You are not alone if you struggle with your weight. Over two thirds of Americans are overweight or obese. We lead busy lives with family, work, school and hobbies consuming our days. Finding time to exercise can be difficult. When you add in the convenience of unhealthy food options that are fast and delicious, it's no wonder most of us struggle with our weight.

If you want to be a healthier weight and don't know where to start, or you've tried in the past but struggled to keep the weight off, this program may be right for you.

Weight loss isn't magic. Our program is evidence based to help you obtain long term results.

Our program involves:

  1. Motivational interviewing to help you set goals and stick to them.

  2. Education on the psychology of weight loss.

  3. Helping you make realistic diet changes.

  4. Helping you increase your daily activity to boost your calories burned.
